The advent of the internet has been a watershed moment in our recent history, in fact, the pivotal moment appears to have been around 2004 - 2006 when “Web2.0” began with applications like Facebook and GMail. That was the beginning of the current downtrend we experience today. That is the time the internet became “free” for everyone based on ads.
The adtech model has destroyed privacy. We thought that policy and better companies would come along and change this dominant model but sadly this hasn’t happened in the 20 years that have passed.
Today Toward Better is born with the objective of improving the world for humans, within the realm of technology.
